View Applications KeyDilutions: Optimal antibody dilution should be determined by titration. The following are suggestions only; For immunoblotting use at 1:3000 - works on rodent and primate tissues and cell lines. For immunoprecipitation from primate and rodent cell lines at 1:100. For immunofluorescence on rodent (but not hamster - CHO) and primate cell lines 1:500. For immunohistochemistry on primate sections 1:100-1:500. For immunohistochemistry on rodent cell lines is poor for mouse/rat 1:50, and doesn't work for hamster.
Relevance: Emerin is a serine rich nuclear membrane protein and a member of the nuclear lamina associated protein family. It mediates membrane anchorage to the cytoskeleton. Dreifuss-Emery muscular dystrophy is an X-linked inherited degenerative myopathy resulting from mutation in the Emerin gene.
